Questions
Are solar estimates free?
Grid-tie and solar thermal estimates are free. Landscape lighting, radiant floor heating, and off-grid estimates have a nominal fee (50% applied to final purchase).
What components make up a solar panel?
Solar panels contain silicon cells, rare metals like gallium, aluminum frames, and tempered low-iron glass glazing for durability and efficiency.
What's the difference between a solar module and panel?
A module is a single weatherproof unit of solar cells. A panel combines multiple modules mechanically fastened together for installation.
Do solar systems require maintenance?
Minimal maintenance is needed. Regular cleaning, connection checks, and annual professional inspections ensure optimal performance and longevity of solar systems.
Can solar power work during grid outages?
Yes with battery storage. Solar systems without batteries will shut down during outages unless equipped with specialized backup configurations to ensure safety compliance.
